  • The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation is one of the most respected credentials in the investment profession. It represents a deep mastery of investment analysis, portfolio management, and ethical decision-making.

  • Earning the CFA® charter requires passing a rigorous, multi-year program recognized globally as the gold standard for investment professionals. Fewer than one in five candidates successfully complete all three levels of the program.

  • For our clients, this means your portfolio is managed with the same analytical rigor and ethical responsibility that define the world’s leading institutional investors — helping you protect and grow your wealth with confidence

  • To earn the CFP® designation, advisors must complete a rigorous process that includes:

  • Extensive Education: Completing a college degree and specialized coursework in areas such as investments, tax planning, retirement, and estate planning.

  • Comprehensive Exam: Passing a demanding 6-hour exam that tests their ability to apply knowledge in real-life financial scenarios.

  • Real-World Experience: Gaining thousands of hours of hands-on experience working directly with clients.

  • Ethical Standards: Upholding a strict code of ethics and acting as a fiduciary — meaning they are legally and ethically required to put your best interests first.

  • The CFP® designation signals a commitment to competence, integrity, and fiduciary responsibility. For clients, it means working with an advisor who:

  • Looks at your entire financial picture (not just investments)

  • Is trained to coordinate tax, retirement, estate, and insurance strategies

  • Must act in your best interest, not just offer suitable advice

  • Has completed extensive education and testing to meet the highest professional standards

At Morgan & Shinault Wealth Advisors, we believe financial planning should be comprehensive, proactive, and deeply personal. That’s why we’ve earned the CFP® designation — to give you the confidence that your financial future is being guided with the highest level of care and expertise.
